Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”, “Terms and Conditions”) carefully before using http://ruedelapinou.com (“the Site”,”us”, “we”, or “our”). This Agreement sets forth the legally binding terms and conditions for your use of the Site at http://ruedelapinou.com.

By accessing or using the Site in any manner, including, but not limited to, visiting or browsing the Site or contributing content or other materials to the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Capitalised terms are defined in this Agreement.


PRIVACY POLICY
At Rue de Lapinou we value our customers and respect their privacy.


SO HOW DOES RUE DE LAPINOU USE MY INFORMATION?
When you register on the site, we need to know your name, delivery address, email address and have a contact number so that we are able to verify your identity and so that we are able to deliver any orders you place online. We also use your info to communicate with you and send you information with regards to our products, competitions and promotions. It also helps us learn about your shopping preferences and your shopping experience as well as to analyse trends and statistics.


YOUR PASSWORD

Once you have registered online, your personal details can only be accessed by way of a password. We suggest that you keep this password private to ensure that no one else can gain access to this information.


COOKIES

Our website uses ‘cookies’ which are data files that are stored on the computer after visiting a website. Cookies can enhance & personalise your shopping experience by enabling certain features. They can remember your personal preferences, track orders, monitor your use of the website and pages visited and recognize you when you re-visit the website. You can customize your browser to disable cookies or notify you when cookies are sent. PLEASE NOTE: If cookies are not enabled, you will not be able to access your account or purchase any items from our online store.


HOW DO I KNOW MY PERSONAL INFORMATION IS SECURE?

In order for you to have a safe shopping experience, we use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology to protect your information as it is being sent to us. To check that you are on a secure server, look at the bottom left hand corner of your browser – if you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser), the SSL is active. Also, if you have accessed a secure server, the beginning of the address in you URL bar will change from http:// to https://


WHAT IS ‘PHISHING’?

“Phishing’ is an internet scam designed to steal personal information. We will never contact you via email asking for personal information, if you get such an email from someone claiming to represent Rue de Lapinou, for your own security, please do not respond or reveal any personal information.


SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY

Shipping Costs
Rue de Lapinou uses SkyNet Couriers and charges a flat rate of R80 for all orders. SkyNet couriers offers an online tracking service for all parcels which gives you up to date information regarding the progress of your parcel from dispatch to delivery. All shipping costs are valid in South Africa only

Delivery Times
We always aim to have your parcel delivered within 3-5 working days. Our stock items are processed upon receipt of your payment, however personalized items can take an additional 2-3 days to customise. You will receive an SMS from SkyNet advising you of your parcel delivery and depending on where you are situated, your delivery times may vary. This is a door to door service and requires someone to sign for the parcel, if there is no one available to take collection, your order will be sent out again the following day. Please note that non-regional areas are restricted for delivery, so this may delay your delivery further.

Please note that during SALE times orders may take up to 10 working days.

Shipping Delays
We will always try our best to make sure that your parcel arrives within the stipulated delivery times or sooner, but there are some things that are beyond our control like weather, delivery errors, courier services & supplier delays. Regardless of the reason for the delay, we will always do our best to keep you informed about your parcels progress.

Failed Delivery
Should SkyNet Couriers not be able to complete a delivery at the address specified by the purchaser, either due to an incorrect delivery address, or unavailability of person to accept the parcel within regular delivery times, Rue de Lapinou may at its discretion charge the purchaser a re-delivery fee for the subsequent delivery of the package.


RETURNS
Please ensure that if your return is part of a set, all items must be returned together in order for us to process.


DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

Whilst we make every effort to ensure the garments sent to you are in good order, if onreceiving your order you are not 100% delighted with your purchase, please let our Customer Services department know within 14 days and we will gladly collect it at our expense. We will then either replace the item if it still in stock, or credit the full amount in the form of an online voucher. We will cover the courier cost for returning the garment to our Head Office in Durban, providing the item is in its original condition and original packaging.


OOPS I ORDERED THE WRONG THING!

If you need to exchange a garment for a different size or colour, we will gladly assist you provided we have the product in stock, you will however be liable for the cost of returning and resending the parcel. In this instance, we will invoice you for the courier collection from yourself, and the cost to re-deliver. This amount will reflect on your Lapinou invoice and the exchange will not take place until such time as the Instant EFT has been done.
Please note that we cannot accept returns or exchanges on personalized items that have been ordered incorrectly.


HOW DO I RETURN IT!

If we have delivered the wrong product or you are not 100% happy with your purchase, you will need to log a return case. You can do so by logging into you Lapinou account and clicking on ‘returns’ in the left hand side


WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY REFUND?

We will make sure your refund is back in your account within 7 days of receiving your returned product, if not sooner. If you are unable to sort out a problem and would like to speak to someone, please email Customer Services: customerservices@lapinou.co.za


THIRD PARTIES

Rue de Lapinou will make sure that your personal information is kept strictly confidential and is not disclosed to third parties.


CANCELLATION

Unfortunately, once an order has been dispatched, no cancellations will be accepted. As payments are processed through Payfast a 10% admin fee will be charged on any cancelled orders. If you cancel your payment, for any reason or if your payment card should cease to be valid, you will nevertheless be bound to pay the full admin fee on any cancellations.


ORDER PROCESSING

Order processing will not begin until we receive a confirmed order and full payment.
All transactions will be processed South African Rands (ZAR)


METHOD OF PAYMENT

Payment can only be made via Instant Electronic Funds Transfer (Instant EFT), VISA and MASTERCARD and your order will only be dispatched once we have received proof of payment. Payments are facilitated by https://www.payfast.co.za/s/std/what-is-payfast
When paying via Instant EFT you will place your order on our site and then be directed to the Payfast site to finalise payment. You will then be redirected to our site for final confirmation of your order and to enter your Payfast transaction code.


CONSENT

I understand that all the designs and trademarks are registered to Rue de Lapinou and I undertake not to copy/duplicate the trademarks and designs directly or indirectly in anyway and understand the legal implications thereof. Should I be found to be in violation of this agreement, I understand that I will be held liable for all legal costs incurred by Rue de Lapinou for any legal action deemed necessary against me.
